Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Shopinbos: sellers, their staff, suppliers, delivery partners and anyone who visits a store built on Shopinbos. It is part of our Terms of service.

Where the Seller rules, Supplier terms or Delivery partner terms say more about a topic, those more detailed rules apply too.

In short: Everyone who uses Shopinbos agrees to this policy.

Things you must not sell

Anything that is illegal in Nigeria, or in the place you deliver to. This includes controlled drugs, prescription medicines without the right licence, firearms, ammunition and explosives, and wildlife products that are protected.

Counterfeit or fake branded goods, or products that copy someone else’s trademark or design without permission.

Stolen goods, goods you don’t have the right to sell, and recalled or unsafe products.

Adult content, gambling services, and financial products such as loans, investments or crypto schemes that promise returns.

Food, drinks, cosmetics and supplements that need NAFDAC registration but don’t have it.

In short: If it is illegal, fake, stolen or unsafe, it can’t be sold on Shopinbos.

Honest selling

Product photos, descriptions, prices, sizes and delivery times must be true. Don’t hide extra charges until after payment.

Don’t post fake reviews, pay for reviews, or review your own products. Don’t pretend to be another business or person.

Pay on delivery orders must be real orders. Don’t create orders to test riders or collect delivery codes.

In short: Tell buyers the truth about what they are paying for.

Messages and marketing

Only send WhatsApp, SMS or email marketing to people who agreed to hear from you, and stop when they ask you to.

Don’t send spam, chain messages or messages that pretend to come from Shopinbos, a bank or a delivery company.

Treat customers, riders, suppliers and our support team with respect. Threats, hate speech and harassment are not allowed.

In short: Message people who want to hear from you, and be respectful.

Using the platform fairly

Don’t try to break into accounts, test our security without permission, overload our systems, or copy our app or website with bots or scrapers.

Don’t use Shopinbos to collect people’s passwords, card details or bank details outside our checkout.

Don’t resell or share your account, or create new accounts to get around a pause or a ban.

In short: Use Shopinbos as it is meant to be used.

What we do when the rules are broken

We may remove a product or content, hold payouts linked to a problem order while we look into it, pause features, or close an account. We tell you what happened and why, unless the law or a safety concern stops us.

Where we see a crime or a risk to someone’s safety, we may report it to the police or the right authority.

If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or write to legal@shopinbos.com and a person will review it.

In short: We act in proportion to the problem, and you can ask us to review a decision.

Reporting a problem

To report a store, product or message that breaks this policy, use the Report link on the store, message us on WhatsApp, or email legal@shopinbos.com with the link and what is wrong.

To report a copy of your brand or content, see our Copyright and trademark complaints page.

In short: Tell us, and we will look into it.
